Gladiator Fight Club was created in 2007 by Christopher A. McCabe with the intention of offering quality fighters a means of showcasing their talents to the public in fighter conscious amateur and sanctioned professional events. Putting the fighters interests first. Alliances with numerous MMA training facilities has been established, a strong fighter pool is being developed which will provide strong fight cards for each of the events we host. Look forward to great closed fist action with some of the best fighters in the surrounding states.

Christopher A. McCabe
President

Christopher A. McCabe is a New York native but has lived in Southern Virginia and worked in Northern Virginia for the past 10 years. Aside from MMA Promotions he is the Operations Facilitator for PRK Drilling & Blasting based out of Winchester Virginia. He believes that the Mixed Martial Arts Industry has much to offer to any community it’s a part of. Children and adults alike can benefit from the hard work and strict regimen of training required to reach the ultimate goal of one day being a competitor in the Hexagon.

George Wehby

George has recently become full partner with Gladiator Fight Club. He brings a level of professionalism to the club that is unparalleled. George is first a husband and father of three beautiful daughters. His extensive experience includes a total of 22 years in Martial Arts; he is both a MMA Instructor and a fighter. To his credit he is a Purple Belt Instructor of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Black Belt in Nisei Kito Ryu Jiu Jitsu and also a Black Belt in Goju Karate. His certifications include Referee with the International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation, Defensive Tactics Instructor and Firearms Instructor. He is a Former Federal Air Marshal with the Department of Homeland Security and has served in Law Enforcement for over 8 years. He is also a former United States Marine.

Claudio Buono was born Argentina.  He came to the US when he was 8 years old for a better life.  He lived in New Jersey for many years. He moved to Virginia 14 years ago  with his wife to start his own business.  In those 14 years he has managed to open numerous pizza places and has become very successful.  He is very well like by the community, friends and his family.  He is a very dedicated father and husband.  He brings to this organization his business knowledge, management skills, his belief in helping others, his heart and giving back to the community that has given him his happiness.  Claudio's one goal is to help others achieve their dreams.
 

Mario Yamasaki

Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He began training in Jiu-Jitsu in 1986 under the late Marcelo Behring who was a 5th degree black belt under Rickson Gracie. In January of 2002, Mario received his 3rd degree on his black belt from Otavio de Almeida, president of the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

JP Flaim is one of the hosts of the popular "Junkies" morning show on 106.7 FM-WJFK in DC. Washingtonian Magazine describes the Junkies as "beer-and-babes radio but with a lot of heart."

The Junkies began their broadcasting careers in the summer of 1995 as JP and three of his buddies -- John Auville (Cakes), Eric Bickel (EB), and Jason Bishop (Lurch) -- started a cable access tv show on a whim in Bowie, MD. One year later the Junkies got their big break when the Washington Times wrote an article about them. WJFK gave the Junkies a shot on the weekends and in the summer of 1997 they replaced the Greaseman at nights.  The Junkies were heard from 7-11 p.m. for over five years and were nationally syndicated before they moved to morning drive on 99.1 WHFS in October of 2002.  In January of 2005, 99.1 flipped formats and the Junkies returned to their roots at WJFK.
